SUPPLYING US WITH A HARD DRIVE

The hard drive should be supplied to us at the same time as the material to be transferred

Please ensure your hard drive has a minimum speed of 7200rpm and that you supply it with a power supply.
Although many are USB driven we have found that some do not work without a power supply.

The drive should have connections for either Firewire 800, Firewire 400 or USB 2 for Quicktime files or USB 2.0 if you require AVI files

Make sure that it is clean and does not have any other files on it

Ensure that it is formatted ready for us to use, NTFS for AVI or MPEG 2 files for use with a PC.

For Quicktime on an Apple computer, formatting is not necessary but it should be ready to go and not formatted for a PC

The drive should have 15GB free for every hour of AVI or QT to be transferred

MPEG2 files use 2GB per hour
