Computer hard disk drive HD recording - from Betacam SP (Beta SP) Betacam SX, (Beta SX), Betacam IMX (Beta IMX) DVCAM, miniDV, HDV, XDCAM HD, Beta SP (Betacam SP), DVD (VIDEO) to:-CD, AVI, QUICKTIME (QT), raw MPEG2, Windows Media Player format (wmv), MPEG4, MP4, MPEG1 for Powerpoint etc We can convert all video formats to an electronic digital file for you to use. This process is called media encoding. Depending upon your final application we can encode your video footage to a computer file to suit your application. Popular requests are video to PowerPoint for presentation use and professional & home editing requests to AVI, Mpeg2 and Quick Time formats. You will need to make sure that your application supports the file type you are requesting and that you have necessary software and codecs to support the digital file. Another format we can supply is AVI format files which are uncompressed and very, very large. Dependant upon the amount of footage it is unlikely that a DVD ROM would be large enough to transport this medium to you. We recommend the use of USB external hard drives for the delivery of such AVI files. Such drives would be supplied by you with the order. We can only fit about 15mins of high quality video on one DVD ROM in .avi format the frame size is 720x576. Check if your machine can handle files of above 2GB. Sending us a hard drive
Please ensure your hard drive has a minumum speed of 7200rpm and that you supply it with a power supply. Although many are USB driven
we have found that some do not work without a power supply.
